Solar Plexus Chakra Healing

You were born into contrast.
You were born glowing, pure, into a world of contradiction and ugliness.
You have long been stifled, altered, made to feel inadequate.
You will not find what you desire out in the world, but rather within yourself.
Turn inwards for the solution to your pain and confusion.
Healing comes from first understanding what you are feeling.
Honor your emotions.
Be present with who you are, now.

Do you need to heal your solar plexus chakra?
The solar plexus chakra relates to your ego, identity, self-esteem, and personal power.
It is linked to the color yellow and the element of fire.
It is physically located about two inches above your navel.
Also called Manipura, this chakra is what we associate most with our sense of who we are and our intentions in this world.
In accordance to our solar plexus' health, we may change our outward appearance and interactions with the world.
If you are a highly sensitive person, then it is very likely that you have faced challenges throughout your life that negatively impacted your solar plexus chakra.
Problems within this chakra may show up as problems with digestion, appetite, skin, muscles, or general stomach discomfort.
Do you remember a moment in your childhood that caused you to clench your stomach, to feel out of place, confused, and afraid?
Maybe you were raised by parents who did not validate emotional vulnerability, or who did not allow you to feel empowered.
Maybe you do not understand how to take criticism.

Do you have plentiful confidence or do you hide yourself away in discomfort and fear?
Do you experience a sense of powerlessness in your life?
Do you have ego problems? Do you feel the need to keep up appearances?
Do you lack a sense of self?
Do you crave codependency or have a problem with jealousy?
All of these things could point to an imbalance in your solar chakra.
This imbalance was most likely initially caused by repressed anger and a lack of control in your young life.
Now is the time to address that anger you have held for so long.
Now is the time to regain control of your mind, body, and life.

Solar Plexus Meditation for Power
Find a location where you will not be interrupted, preferably out in the sunshine to soak in the light.
Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, arms down at your sides, and chin tilted upwards.
Begin by intoning "ah", in a slow, passionate voice, resonating at whatever note feels most comfortable for you.
Pause, take a deep breath. In...and out.
Remember, it is in your best interest to be mindful and slow.
Speak the following words aloud, pausing between phrases:
I am the universe.
I am eternal.
I can feel my soul settling down, my heart becoming whole, and my mind's eye opening.
I feel a warmth in my stomach, like a glowing ember ready to ignite.
The warmth grows, filling my entire body with love, understanding, and compassion.
I no longer feel the need to control that which is beyond me.
I understand that I only truly have power over myself.
I am peaceful.
I am proactive.
I know what my mind and body need, and I will give it to them.
I am jealous of no one.
I am a singular being.
I find myself healing the tension within me.
I am letting go of all of my shame.
Now, I am authentic.
Now, I call upon my deepest self, to take control of my being.
I allow my personal integrity to guide me in every action that I take.
I choose to do everything that I do.
I hold infinite power, and I wield it mindfully and confidently.
I am the universe.

Final Notes
Every single one of your relationships is intertwined with the solar plexus chakra.
Be mindful of how you are interacting with others: do you give your power away? Or do you maintain a honest sense of who you are, no matter who you are talking to?
Address your feelings of confusion, fear, and powerlessness.
You must not sit idly forever.
You are wasting your life by not being attuned to yourself, your needs and your aspirations.
Surround yourself with things that encourage your authenticity.
Your choice of clothing, music, creative outlets, and occupation can all align with your true self and your life's intentions.
Be mindful of how you move in the world.
You are precious.
You are powerful.
Do not deny yourself the truth.
Speak aloud:
I own all that I am.

Lessons From Weeding

Everywhere, the weeds are pushing their spiny way out of the soil. They are going to seed, and their invasive growth must be fought back. There is a lot to learn from this experience, no matter how tiresome it may seem.   Lessons From Weeding As I kneel, ever-nearer to the soil, my eyes scan the surrounding growth to determine what belongs and what must be removed.  There is a mixture of invasive plants amongst flowers and grass, and I must take care to differentiate between them all. The weeds threaten to overcome everything in their path. It is my duty to hold them off for the season. In certain parts of my yard, I will be needing to do more work than just pulling by hand.   Some tangles and briars prove themselves too tough for my gloves. However, I move steadily on, focusing only on the weeds that I have the ability to remove.  It serves no immediate purpose to entertain the question of how to do what I cannot. I do not allow my mind to be caught up in pondering, instead refocusing

Mental Forest Meditation

Begin to breathe with intention. Pause at the end of your exhales, observing the stillness there. Turn Inward Turn your attention inward. What does the inside of your mind feel like? Be mindful of the speed of your thoughts, do you allow them to move too quickly? Are your habitual thoughts productive and meaningful? Are you aware of your emotional state at all times, regulating its role in your life? Spend a moment breathing deeply and slowly, and meditating on the state of your internal self. Visualize Now that you are aware of your internal being, you may allow your mind to clear. Awareness is all that you need to ask of yourself right now. Allow your mind to melt into these words. Breathe in...breathe out...pause. You are standing in the center of a vast forest. The air is sweet and cool, smelling faintly of wood smoke, evergreens, and roses. From the gently swaying trees around you, birds sing joyfully out into the daylight. Their voices mingle with the rustling branches which move

New Moon Meditation

Darkness cannot long be hidden. Stagnation will be transformed into motion. You are near awakening, now are your final moments of slumber.  Use this time well. Be Peaceful Allow every breath that you take to be meaningful. Inhale into the depths of your diaphragm, feeling the fresh air pouring effortlessly through your body like a cooling waterfall in summertime.  Exhale slowly, knowledgeably, like the growth of thick mosses on the exposed roots of a redwood tree.  Be with the world around you, can you sense the earth? Do you move with the flow of the universe? There is a constant motion, present in all natural things. Place a palm against the trunk of a tree, or dig your fingers into the soil, and direct all of your senses to the connection. There is a subtle, yet intense vibration, moving between your soul and the planet. Can you feel it? When you do, you will unlock a new wealth of awareness. You are no longer a singular being, aimlessly wandering the planes of existence. You are a
